    Royal Mail introduces electronic stamp
    Tucson Post
    Friday 3rd September, 2010

Britain’s royal Mail has sold its first "intelligent" stamp.

The stamp is designed to be read online in conjunction with a smartphone.

Image recognition technology will read the stamp before putting the owner through to privileged online content.

It is the first time a national postal service has used smartphone technology on its stamps.
